How to navigate the mobile app
We have built the modules we thought would be handy to access on the go into our mobile app. That is, tasks, roadmap and goals, diagnostic questions and results, and channels & chat.
The navigation menu is at the bottom of the screen and the app loads to the tasks module when it is opened.
To navigate to another module, press the module icon button. So for goals, press the goals icon.
Tasks
The task module displays a list of all the tasks you are working on with the status in progress, all your completed tasks and then 3 lists of all the boards you are a member of broken down by meeting & project boards, goal boards and the boards related to the goals you are a collaborator on.
When the task module is opened in the app your list of current tasks with status in progress is displayed. To hide the list of current tasks, press the down arrow next to my tasks list. Press it again to display your list of current tasks.
The search input at the top of the screen allows you to search by task and board titles. Press the search input and type the task or board title. A list of recent searches will appear, as well as the results from the search.
To select a task or board, press the title of the task or board. To exit search mode, press the x in the search input.
To view all tasks on a board, select the board you want by pressing title of the board. The board will open and display the tasks with status of backlog. To go back to the task home page, press the back button at the top of the screen next to the board title.
By swiping right or left, you can view the list of tasks under each status. To view a task's details, press the task title.
From the task detail screen you can view the task checklist items and activity. To view the task checklist or activity, press the checklist, or activity button, and to edit the task press the edit button at the top of the screen.
Goals
The goals module opens to display your current in progress goals. You can filter the list of goals by clicking the filter button in the top left of screen, and add further goals by clicking the the add button in the top right of screen.
To view a goal's details, press the goal title. At the top of the goal detail screen, you can see your goal health; progress and confidence. Beneth the goal health is the goal's details, title, owner, due date and date the goal was last updated. The buttons in the goal detail section, from left to right, are add outcome, view tasks relating to the goal, view the goal channel and delete the goal. To edit a goal press the edit button in the top right of screen.
Beneath the goal details are each of the outcomes that relate to the goal. To edit an outcome, press the edit button on the outcome you need to edit.
Roadmap
The roadmap module consists of the same 2 components as the desktop app, Plan and Prisioritse. The roadmap module opens to display the current users goals in the Plan component. The plan component displays goals by status, 1 status at a time. When the roadmap module is opened, the goals in backlog status are displayed, and swiping left, displays committed, then in progress, then complete. Swiping right goes back to the prior status.
You can filter the goals using the filter set by pressing the filter button on the top left of screen, or add a new goal by clicking the add goal button in the top right of screen.
To navigate to the prioritise component of the roadmap module, press the prioritise button. In prioritise you can still vote for goals, filter the list of goals and add further goals.
Diagnostic
Depending on the license you hold, your view of the diagnostic module will differ. In the example below, the user holds a business license with the leadership license add-on.
If you have a diagnostic to take, the blue triangle will appear in the top left of screen. To launch the diagnostic, press the blue triangle. To view past diagnostic results, press the arrow next to the function you want to review.
The diagnostic results will load to the most recent diagnostic. To change the diagnostic results, press the filter button and then the drop-down field to choose the diagnostic you would like to review.
To view the full leadership curve, with activities, press the view leadership curve button. The full leadership curve displays in landscape. The app is locked from rotating so when you hold your phone in landscape the curve will not rotate to portrait. To close the curve and go back to the diagnostic results page, press the x.
You can isolate score, skills, and systems on the curve and the activities by score/color by checking and unchecking the associated check boxes.
Chat
The chat module opens to display my messages, which is a list of the user's unread messages. And then the different types of channels. To view the list of unread messages or a list of channels, press the blue arrow next to the title of the list.
To add a new channel, click the add channel button at top right of the screen. Add a title and those you want to invite to the channel. To add members, search the user's name, select it, then press add. Repeat this process for each additional member.
To open a channel and view messages, press the channel name.
You can create new messages, comment on existing messages, and @mention others by typing @then a user's name.
Settings
In the settings component, a user can update their personal details, access the waymaker academy and support center and submit bug reports and feature requests. You can also update your notifications settings for the app.
To edit your details, press the edit button in the top right of screen, make your updates, then press save.
