Using subtasks provides several benefits for managing your task list, whether its to break down an activity into more manageable chunks in a project, share the load with a teammate, or to make sure you complete the key activities to achieve a task in the right order and at the right time.

How to create subtask
To add a subtask, on a task title to open the task editor.
Click the + button next to Subtasks.
Add your subtask title and hit return. The subtask will be created and inherit data from the parent, such as start and due dates. To edit a subtask, click the edit button in line with the subtask. This will open the subtask editor so you can adjust dates and status.
Clicking the subtask's title will reload the task editor with the subtask's data.
When you are viewing a subtask in the task editor, the subtask's headline task will be displayed instead of any subtask information. Clicking the headline task title will reload the task editor with the headline task's data.
To delete a subtask, click the delete button in line with the subtask. This removes the subtask from the headline task, but does not delete the task from the task board.
To delete the task permanently, from the subtask view above, click the edit button, scroll to the bottom of the task editor and click delete.
