What are filters
Filters on the roadmap, goals and dashboard modules allow you to drill into goal data. This enables you to quickly review what your team or others are working on, how the milestone goals are progressing and even slice the data by function and status.
The filters available to you on the roadmap, goals and dashboard modules are:
- Goal view
- Team
- User
- Role
- Function
- Status
The filter sets are accessed by clicking the filter button at the top off the page. If the button is blue, this indicates a filter has been applied.
Goal View
We have created 6 standard views of goal data so you can find what you’re looking for quickly. The default view is My goals. The 6 views are:
- My goals
- My team goals
- My collaborations
- All goals
- Milestone goals
- Multi-quarter goals
The goal view options drives the filter sets that are available. For instance, when the default view, My goals, is set, you will not be able to access the role, team or user filters. The same goes for collaborations.
For all other views all filters will be visible but the options available will change as you apply additional filters. For example, if you select team in the team filter, you will only be able to filter users that are a member of that team.
Role
The role filter displays a list of pre-set roles to provide a lens on goal data at different levels of seniority within the business:
- Board
- Executive
- Manager
- Team Lead
- Team Member
Team
The team filter displays a list of teams associated with the user’s organisation, or the teams the user is a member of, depending on the goal view chosen. When the goal view is set to My goals, the team filter will not be visible. If the goal view is set to my team goals, the team filter will display the name of the teams the person is a member of.
For all other goal views, the team filter will display the full list of teams that have been created for the user’s organisation. If the user is not a member of a team, or no teams exist for the organisation there will be no teams to select from.
User
The user filter will display all active users related to the organisation or to a team dependent on the goal view. If the goal view is set to My goals, the user filter will not be visible. If the goal view is my team goals, the user filter will display a list of active users that are a member of the user’s team(s).
If the team filter has a value, the user filter will display a list of users who are a member of that team.
Function
The function filter displays the 6 core functions of a business. If a function is chosen the goal data updates to goals related to that function:
- Vision
- Market
- Strategy
- Business Model
- CX
- CX:Marketing
- CX:Sales
- CX:Service
- EX
Status
The status filter displays the 4 status options available for a goal. Selecting a status updates goal data to display only goals with the status selected:
- Backlog
- Committed
- In Progress
- Complete
