Private goals

Not all goals are equal, and some aren't for everyone's eyes… so we built a private goal feature.

Anyone can create a private goal, and only the owner can view it, unless they add collaborators. Then the collaborators can view and collaborate as usual.

Make a goal private

To make a goal private, turn on private goals in the goal editor screen.

How to view your private goals

To view your private goals, you just need to turn on the private goal filter on your homepage or in the roadmap, goals and explore modules.

Collaborating on private goals

To view private goals you are collaborating on, once the private goal filter is on open the filter set and update the goal view filter to Collaborations.

As a collaborator on a private goal you have the same permissions as a normal goal, you can update outcomes, view the goal channel and send messages in the channel and view and edit tasks related to the goal.

Private goal task boards

The Tasks module also includes the private goal filter to show and hide private goal task boards. To view your private goal task boards, and the task boards of private goals you are collaborating on, open the filter set from the task board screen and select private goals. Your private goal tasks boards will display under Goal Task Boards, and the task boards of any private goals you are collaborating on will be displayed under My Collaborations.
