What you'll find on the home page
The home page is what you will see first after logging in. It was designed with productivity in mind. It shows you what you are working on (goals and outcomes), and what you need to do (tasks).
The page is comprised of 3 columns. On the left, User information and certifications. In the centre, goals and outcomes and on the right, tasks.
Under your name is a link to access your profile page, and 2 charts that display your current goal health;
- your average progress towards achieving your goals, and
- your average confidence in completing your goals
Accessing Waymaker Academy
Beneath your goal health you can see a list of certifications you have completed in the Academy. If you have logged into the academy more than once you will be able to access the academy from clicking on the shield and text that say "Certifications".
If you are accessing the academy for the first time, click the settings button in the top right then Waymaker Academy.
Goals and outcomes
In the center column of the page is a list of your goals that are in progress. You can see the goal title, progress, confidence and due date, as well as some buttons.
The button on the left shows and hides any outcomes related to the goal.
The middle button filters the list of tasks by those related to the goal. Click it once to switch the filter on, click it again to switch it off. The button will be blue if the filter is on for that goal and you can filter tasks by more than one goal.
And the button on the right is the view goal channel button and launches the channel, chat and notifications component and opens to that goals channel.
Clicking on a goal title will launch the goal detail page so you can make updates to goals, outcomes and tasks without even needing to navigate from the home page.
The right hand column of the home page displays your tasks. There are 2 types of task on waymaker. Personal, and Goal. A personal task can only be viewed by the owner and can be for anything. A Goal task is a task that is related to a goal or directly to an outcome. You can view tasks due today, this week, this month, or all. To view completed tasks, click the arrow next to completed tasks.
Clicking the word Task at the top of the task component will navigate you successfully to the Task module. But from the home page you can add a task by clicking the add task button, or edit a task by clicking the task title. A red task title indicates the task is overdue and to complete a task, click the circle next to the task title.
Add the task details then save. This opens the checklist panel and activity feed to add comments. To update the title or description, click the edit button, make the change then click the save button. The delete button deletes the task permanently.
