What is a multi-quarter goal
A multi-quarter goal is precisely that. A goal that is delivered over a number of quarters.
Multi-quarter goals will generally relate to a longer term strategic goal or annual goal, but can also just be a goal that will take longer than a quarter to deliver against.
How to create a multi-quarter goal
To create a multi-quarter goal is quite simple, when creating or editing the goal, simply check the Multi-Quarter goal check box.
Once the Multi-Quarter goal check box is checked you will notice the goal input options will change.
You will now see a field called Financial Year Due and in place of the Quarter field you will now see a Start and Due Date field. You will need to select the financial year the goal is due and specify the start and due date to save the goal.
The goal is now a multi-quarter goal and is scheduled for the period you have entered into the start and due date fields.
Where can I view and track multi-quarter goal data
Multi-Quarter goals can be viewed in the roadmap, goal and dashboard modules. You can view progress on the visual roadmap and edit the goal on the plan page. If the multi-quarter goal status is in progress, you will be able to view and edit the goal in the goal and explore module.
To monitor and track the progress of multi-quarter goals using the dashboard module you can use the goal view filter by setting it to Multi-Quarter then choosing the goal owner or team and the goal status.
